Fresh vegetables in 5 minutes for Baby!
The “house” mash
From 6 months, purees made from a single vegetable (or fruit) make it easy to spot Baby’s favorite foods and are a very good start to food diversification.
To save precious time, consider organizing a “session” to prepare mashed potatoes once a week, freezing them in small portions. Once the puree is prepared, pour it into a freezer container. When no more water vapor escapes from the dish, place the preparation in the refrigerator for a few hours to cool it, before putting it in the freezer.
Trick : In the freezer, place the vegetable puree in an ice cube bag. All you need to do is thaw the number of cubes corresponding to your baby’s ration, depending on his age and his appetite!
What about the soup?
To defrost one of your preparations, place it preferably at the bottom of your refrigerator, or use the microwave right out of the freezer. You can also run it under a stream of cold water if the packaging is airtight.
Be careful, never let it thaw for hours on the worktop at room temperature!
Trick : In the freezer, Baby’s “homemade” vegetable soup is kept in small airtight containers, each containing a different variety of vegetables (carrots, leeks, zucchini, potatoes, etc.). Every day, Baby will be able to discover new flavors!
