A manicure is an important indicator of a girl’s grooming. However, modern beauties do not stop at simple processing and varnishing. They actively use the achievements of nail art – drawing on nails. The result is a beautiful, original and unique manicure.
How to paint with varnish
The basic techniques for painting with nail polish are quite simple and versatile. The pattern is best placed at the base of the plate on the side or over its entire surface. Please note: modern fashion trends allow you to design even on very short nails.
Use the right tools to keep the patterns smooth and beautiful:
- clear nail polish;
- multi-colored varnishes;
- nail art brushes;
- dots of different diameters;
- paint for painting;
- toothpicks.
The best nail art can be done using specialized brushes and dots (metal sticks with a circle at the end). However, some girls create true masterpieces at home with simple toothpicks. Create your first nail polish drawings as well, strictly following the basic techniques.
Never paint directly on the nail plate without coating. A smooth image will be obtained only after applying a transparent base. It will make the nail smoother and thicker.
Take two contrasting shades of varnish. Cover half of the nail with one color, the other half with another. Without waiting for it to dry, place a toothpick at the base of the nail. Making wave-like movements on the border of two colors, bring it to the tip. You will have a beautiful transitional wave.
Two-tone designs look very elegant. On one half of the colored nail, apply three drops of the opposite shade with a toothpick. Until the varnish has dried, draw two thin lines from the middle of each point to the border. You will have original petals. Do the same with the second half of the nail.
Many patterns on the nails are made from polish droplets. You will get the best results if you use dots. Pour some nail polish onto a piece of heavy paper. Dip the tool and dab the paint on the nail. You will end up with a series of dots that get smaller. With the help of dots, vignettes, smooth curls, flowers are also created. For this, the tool is not poked into the nail, but used as a pencil. Separate additional thin lines are drawn with brushes.
Painting with nail polish is a rather difficult task. Novice artists can use a simpler material – paints. To create nail art, watercolor, gouache, acrylic are suitable.
Gouache allows you to create a fairly dense pattern. Watercolors are used to make translucent, blurry images. Acrylic paints are used most often in nail art. They are bright, give dense lines and hold well.
You can create almost any design with ordinary paints. But mostly girls prefer light, beautiful petals. Use a thin brush to create them.
Dip the tool in paint. Remember: the drawing must be created from top to bottom so that it does not smudge. Start drawing a slightly rounded line. In the middle, press harder on the brush, and towards the end, release the pressure again. As a result, you will get a neat petal.
Place a few more of the same around it, varying their size. Complete the drawing with dots or flowers using toothpicks. The finishing touch is two layers of transparent top coat. This is necessary for the drawing with ordinary paints to last longer.
