how to make repairs in the apartment photo

Choosing an interior style according to this principle, you create your own cozy world in the house. Such an apartment becomes a place of power and a source of energy that will help to recharge the batteries after a working day. Alena Podmasco, stylist of Leroy Merlin, will tell you how to decorate an apartment for a harmonious life in a metropolis.

Cities are actively expanding, and the area of apartments in them is becoming smaller. The popularity of studio apartments has spawned apartments – tiny apartments with minimal floor space. And the main task of a resident of a big city is to create comfortable housing in such a small amount of square meters, to give himself the feeling of home.

The reduction in the area of many apartments and other changes in the construction market have led to the fact that now the premises are rented not in concrete, but more and more often in finishing, which designers call a white box. It really looks like a “white box” – the floor, walls and ceiling are white or as light as possible. You can give them a different color yourself. Or you can use this neutral background to create a stylish interior with decor. This will allow you to quickly and economically give the interior the style and character that suits you.

Taking white box finishing as a basis is a global trend for small apartments, which originated in modern art. Designers create whole pictures, “painting” the interior with lines of contrasting color: they start from the floor, move to the textiles on the sofa, and through the curtains they reach the ceiling. And from a certain angle, a person entering the room can see the whole picture. However, art sooner or later adapts to the needs of people and manifests itself in simpler and more accessible forms – for example, in white textiles with graphic black patterns, furniture on a thin black or white frame, wallpaper with a contrasting pattern.

The use of frame furniture is also justified, since it allows you to visually increase the area of the room. The more floor area we see, the larger the room seems to us. Therefore, in small city apartments, apartments and studios, designers advise using wardrobes and racks with thin legs and sofas raised above the floor. This, by the way, will be a big plus if you are thinking about buying a robot vacuum cleaner. The thin-legged furniture concept can be supported by frames made of thin black material.

The main colors of the linear interior are contrasting black and white, as well as all shades of gray to create depth and volume. It is important that the decoration of the room is clean and neutral, without color or patterns. Even the floor is desirable to be made gray, without a highlighted texture. If it is wooden, let it be a light wood with a gray tint. Leave all the bright linear accents on the decor and textiles.

If the white walls seem flat, add a little shade to the paint or decorate one wall in the room with white brick wallpaper. Do not get carried away, because the texture and shade can deprive the interior of the effect of linearity and dynamics in space.

Lighting can support the basic interior. A spider chandelier will look great here: a lot of black wires leave the ceiling mount, which can be stretched along the ceiling. This chandelier will go well with a black or black and white carpet. Luminaires on a black iron frame with a retro light bulb will also be appropriate. They will connect contrasting lines on black and white textiles, for example, on cushions and curtains, into a single picture, even if these lines are chaotic or dynamic.

The great advantage of a linear interior is that it remains neutral as it becomes expressive. Monochrome colors allow you to add a decorative element of any bright color at any time – and it will logically and harmoniously fit into this style.

It doesn’t matter which items are colored. These can be vases, flower pots, bright posters and other decorative elements. But the most effective and quickest way to add color to the interior is bright textiles. Color-matched cushions, curtains and bedspreads can not only change the atmosphere in a room, but also create a certain mood for its tenant. A whole direction in color studies studies the psychological impact of color on our mood and state. For example, for those who need energy to solve a complex problem, red will help. A person who is in the mood for fun will feel harmonious among yellow objects. If, after a work breakthrough, you decide to change the atmosphere to a more romantic one, replace the black curtains with a geometric white pattern with white ones and add colored tulle.

Furniture of bright colors can be a limitation for such metamorphosis. For example, a black sofa is unlikely to fit into a romantic mood. Then a light veil can come to the rescue, which will hide most of it.

In the bathroom. The ideal linear bathroom is similar to a loft-style bathtub – white tiles with black grout, black faucets, towels, rug and bath curtain in white, gray or black. But in this case, they can be with contrasting geometric patterns. In such a bathroom, mirrors in a thin black frame and any monochrome and clean objects along the lines will be good.

If you have pink or lilac tiles, then perhaps this style is better to refuse. Or take a global approach to the issue, replacing the tiles with black-white-gray hexagons – they can be used to lay out very interesting drawings.

In the kitchen. Now you can easily find a white kitchen set of simple shapes, without chamfers and decor. It will do a great job of maintaining linearity, especially if you choose long black handles for it. The composition will be supported by gray, black, white fabric or roller blinds, as well as a couple of flower pots, which you can paint in white with your own hands, draw a black cage or other linear graphic pattern. Concrete pots are also color-coordinated. And black dishes will complete the creation of the style. But a red towel and even bright paper napkins on the table will add color and mood.

In the nursery. By itself, the black and white scale is not very suitable for a stereotypical nursery – here we are used to seeing bright colors, variegated drawings. But in a calm room with a light finish, children’s toys and all the bright objects that the child uses will not look so colorful. In addition, the design of a nursery in a linear style can solve many parenting problems. For example, by painting the walls white, you can give them to your child to paint, giving him room for creativity in the size of the entire room. If your plans do not include repainting the walls often, you can make one wall in the room slate black. The idea of the collection is a space in which objects are created due to lines, so why not make the wall on which a magical fantasy world is created with the same lines, just the other way around, that is, white on black.
