How to make minced potato casserole

Casserole in any form helps to feed family or friends hearty and healthy in record time. I loaded all the ingredients into the oven and you can safely set or chat on the table. Potato casserole takes a little longer, as the food needs to be prepared a little before baking. But, with the correct algorithm of work and ingenuity, we will cope with this part of the preparation quickly.

 

Traditional minced potato casserole

Ingredients:

 
  • Minced pork – 200 gr.
  • Minced beef – 300 gr.
  • Potatoes – 1000 gr.
  • Onions – 1 pc.
  • Milk – 1/2 tbsp.
  • Egg – 2 pcs.
  • Cheese – 150 gr.
  • Sunflower oil – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Salt – to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Seasonings for minced meat and potatoes – optional.

Boil pre-peeled and finely chopped potatoes in salted water. While cooking potatoes, finely chop the onion, fry in vegetable oil until transparent, add the minced meat and carefully break all the meat lumps, stirring. Cooking for five minutes. From potatoes, milk and eggs, quickly make mashed potatoes, you can not knead the potatoes too finely. Grease the baking dish with oil, spread 1/2 part of the potato mass, distribute the minced meat in an even layer on top, carefully “wrap” the remaining mashed potatoes on all sides. In the oven for 15 minutes at 190 degrees. Rub the cheese (Gouda, Russian) on a coarse grater, sprinkle on the casserole and return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes until the cheese turns deliciously golden. Serve hot casserole with fresh cucumbers and sour cream.

Potato casserole with minced meat and sour cream

Ingredients:

  • Minced pork – 250 gr.
  • Minced beef – 300 gr.
  • Potatoes – 800 gr.
  • Onions – 1 pc.
  • Sour cream – 100 gr.
  • Egg – 2 pcs.
  • Cheese – 200 gr.
  • Wheat flour – 60 gr.
  • Breadcrumbs – 50 gr.
  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Salt – to taste
  • Ground nutmeg – to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Mash boiled potatoes, mix with eggs and flour, add nutmeg. Fry the onion in olive oil, add the minced meat to it and mix well so that the minced meat does not have time to “crumple”, hold on the fire for several minutes. Grease a form or a baking sheet with high sides and spread crackers on the bottom, half of the potatoes and a little grated cheese on them. Then put the minced meat, the remaining cheese and the second part of the potato mass. Coat the casserole with sour cream on top, send to a preheated oven (180 degrees) for 30-35 minutes.

Quick minced potato casserole

 

Ingredients:

  • Homemade mince – 500 gr.
  • Potatoes – 1000 gr.
  • Onions – 1 pc.
  • Sour cream – 100 gr.
  • Egg – 2 pcs.
  • Cheese – 200 gr.
  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Salt – to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

This option is less time consuming and does not have a very standard look. Cut raw potatoes into thin slices and pour over with boiling water. Lightly fry the minced meat with onions in oil, stirring thoroughly. Put the potatoes in the form of “scales” on a greased baking sheet, spread the minced meat in an even layer, then put the potatoes tightly again. Grate the cheese, mix with eggs and sour cream, add pepper and spices to taste, pour this mass over the casserole. In an oven preheated to 180 degrees, bake the dish for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.

Potato casserole with minced meat and tomatoes

 

Ingredients:

  • Minced pork – 500 gr.
  • Potatoes – 700 gr.
  • Tomatoes – 3 pcs.
  • Onions – 1 pc.
  • Cheese – 200 gr.
  • Olive oil – 3 tbsp. l.
  • Butter – 40 gr.
  • Salt – to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Boil potatoes, mix with butter and mash. Cut onion and tomatoes into cubes, fry in olive oil, add minced meat, stir and simmer for 10 minutes. Put half of the potatoes, minced meat, and the rest of the potatoes on the bottom of a greased form. Sprinkle generously with grated cheese on top. Send to the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 25-30 minutes.

Potato casserole with minced meat and mushrooms

 

Ingredients:

  • Homemade mince – 700 gr.
  • Potatoes – 800 gr.
  • Fresh champignons – 400 gr.
  • Onions – 1 pc.
  • Garlic – 2 teeth
  • Milk – 1/2 tbsp.
  • Egg – 2 pcs.
  • Cheese – 200 gr.
  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Butter – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Salt – to taste
  • Ground nutmeg – to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

From boiled potatoes, milk and butter, make mashed potatoes, season with nutmeg. Chop the onion and mushrooms, fry for 2 minutes in olive oil, add minced meat, mix everything well, add chopped garlic and cook for five minutes over low heat. Grease a baking dish with olive oil, put half of the potatoes, minced meat with mushrooms and the remaining mashed potatoes, smoothing each layer well. Sprinkle the casserole with grated cheese and put in the oven for 25 minutes at a temperature of 190-200 degrees. Garnish with fresh herbs when serving.
