Raw chaenomeles fruit jam
Ingredients:
- chaenomeles fruits – 1 kg;
- sugar – 1 kg.
You can cook it in two ways.
Method one
Washed fruits are cut into slices, removing the middle. Pour a little sugar into the bottom of dry sterile jars, lay out the slices, sprinkle well with sugar. Close with plastic lids and put in the refrigerator.
Method two
We use the technology by which raw currant jam is prepared. We pass the peeled quince through a meat grinder and mix with sugar. Before laying out raw jam in sterile and dry jars, we wait for the sugar to dissolve completely. The juice should become clear. We store jars closed with plastic lids in the cold.

Raw black raspberry and chaenomeles fruit jam
As soon as the berries on the raspberry plantation begin to ripen, we prepare raw black raspberry jam.
This will require one part raspberries – two parts of sugar. They are measured by volume.
We turn the berries into puree with a blender, adding sugar in parts. We add all the remaining sugar to the prepared puree and after it is completely dissolved, we lay it out in dry sterile jars. Store dry jam only in the refrigerator.
As soon as the chaenomeles is ripe, we take the jars out of the refrigerator and mix their contents with the raw quince jam prepared according to the above recipe. Keep the mixture in the refrigerator. If you are not sure that such a mixture will keep well, you can prepare a traditional jam mix.
Black raspberry and Japanese quince jam
Proportions for it: 1 part pureed raspberries, 1 part prepared chaenomeles fruits and 1 part sugar.
First, boil the pureed raspberries for 10 minutes, pour out the sugar and prepared slices of quince, cook for another 20 minutes. We pack the finished jam in sterile dry jars. Let them stand in the air, covered with a clean towel. When the jam cools, a film forms on top, which prevents it from spoiling. Close it with plastic caps. It is better to store in a cool place.
You can cook traditional Japanese quince jam. The cooking process is quite simple.
Quince jam from chaenomeles fruit
To do this, for every kilogram of prepared quince, take the same or more sugar and 0,3 liters of water.
My quince, free from the skin, cut into not very large pieces, fill them with water and cook from the moment of boiling for about 10 minutes. Pour the sugar, let it dissolve and cook for about 20 more minutes. Let the jam brew until completely cooled. Put it back on the stove, bring to a boil and cook for another 5 minutes. Pour into dry jars and close with lids.
Quince jam with chokeberry
Very tasty and healthy jam is obtained from chokeberry or chokeberry and chaenomeles fruits.
Ingredients:
- chokeberry – 1 kg;
- chaenomeles fruits – 0,4 kg;
- sugar – from 1 to 1,5 kg;
- water – 1 glass.
Pour the washed chokeberry berries with a small amount of water and boil until mashed. Pour sugar into it and boil for about 10 minutes. During this time, the sugar should dissolve. Cooking quince: wash, clean, cut into slices. We spread it in chokeberry puree and cook everything together until tender.
