How to make curls with an iron?

Secrets of creating curls with an iron

To create curls, you should use an iron with rounded plates – it belongs to the professional class. It is desirable that it has a ceramic coating that does not harm the hair as much.

It is better to do your hairstyle on clean and thoroughly dried hair, otherwise the styling will look somewhat untidy. Wet strands are much easier to burn with an iron.

A special thermal spray will help protect hair from a hot styler – a tool that must be present in those who use an iron

And in order for the curls to retain their shape for a long time, first apply a little hair wax.

Set the temperature correctly based on the condition of your hair. Thin strands, for example, require less intense heat exposure. The temperature of the ironing should also be reduced when winding the back of the head. Try not to expose the appliance to the highest temperature, as this can severely damage your hair, especially with constant use of the styler.

To make beautiful curls, you will need:

  • hair washing products
  • towel
  • hairdryer
  • hairbrush
  • ironing-iron
  • heat protection hair spray
  • hair wax

Wash your hair with your usual means, blot it with a towel, let the hair dry naturally or dry it well with a hair dryer, having previously treated it with a thermal protection agent. Then spread some hair wax between your palms and run your hands over the strands.

Hair wax can be applied after creating curls. To do this, smear your finger with a very small amount of wax and wind a curl around it several times.

Divide the hair into the lower and upper parts, pinning the latter at the back of the head. Heat the iron to the desired temperature. After stepping back 10 cm from the roots, clamp a small strand with it and immediately wind it on the styler. Then slide the iron down smoothly, as if straightening. Wind each strand in this way. Then, loosen the top of your hair and repeat the procedure. This curling technique is especially suitable for long hair.

Finished curls can be sprinkled with varnish to last longer

If you want to get simply wavy hair, iron should be done very quickly. To create curls, the opposite is true. You can also change the shape of the curls yourself by holding the iron horizontally or vertically.
