Curd snacks are a tasty product, but, alas, they are high in calories and are often the cause of food poisoning due to improper transportation or storage. And there is much more chemistry in them than in a healthy dessert. But you can make curd cheese at home. How – now we will tell you.
To prepare them, you will need silicone molds – either special molds or for cupcakes. They are needed so that ready-made curds can be easily removed.
From products you will need cottage cheese and chocolate, as well as sugar and butter. Cottage cheese must be well beaten with a blender or rubbed through a sieve so that the curds are obtained with a uniform texture. Add sugar to cottage cheese, or ideally powdered sugar, a little butter, melted to a liquid state – knead the mixture and put it in the refrigerator.
The chocolate must be melted in a water bath and greased with silicone molds – put into the freezer for 15 minutes to set the chocolate. Then fill the molds tightly with the curd mass, grease them with chocolate on top – and put them back in the freezer until the curds are completely solidified.
Carefully remove the curd cakes from the molds and store in the refrigerator later.
Sugar can be replaced with honey or jam, raisins and other dried fruits, coconut flakes, grated chocolate or vanilla can be added to the curd.
