How to make a charm with your own hands
It is unlikely that our readers are familiar with protective art. But don’t be scared – there is nothing scary or complicated about it. You can start with something easy. Make a doll for a girl or some animal for a boy. Such a toy should be bright and eye-catching. Dress her up in clothes decorated with patterns and embroidery. Place the toy in the crib when placing your baby or in the stroller when you go for a walk. With such a talisman created by mother’s hands, the child will sleep more calmly, become less anxious.

The people believed that a bright toy would attract curious glances to itself, and the baby would no longer be so interesting to strangers. It is even better if the patterns for embroidery are traditional, as they used to decorate clothes in antiquity. Our ancestors knew the meaning of each ornament and used it. Even children’s clothes, sewn by mom and decorated with homemade embroidery, will serve as a talisman.

Any available materials will do: cardboard, colored threads, twigs. Herbs can also have protective properties. The people believed that a bunch of thistles, acorns from an oak tree, berries or rowan foliage could protect a child during sleep. If your little one sleeps restlessly, just place one of these plants under his bed.
Believe in amulets or not – it’s up to you. But remember: if something is wrong with the child, no amulet can replace the help of a doctor. Do not rely too much on magic, neglecting the achievements of science and medicine.
