Reading is one of the most interesting and rewarding activities. The more a person reads, the wider his horizons and richer speech and thinking. But how to convey this simple truth to the younger generation, which often prefers gadgets to all other joys of life?
Of course, there are children who love to spend time with a book. But many do not even realize that reading can be captivating and captivating like no movie or computer game. And in order for a young man to know about this, he must be introduced to the book. But how can this be done so that acquaintance with her is not edifying, and therefore unacceptable for most children?
Many parents whose children are passionate about reading probably have their own recipes for how they managed to make their child friends with a book. For example, one mom at night always told her son fairy tales and read children’s stories. When the boy grew up, went to school and learned to read on his own, she did not stop practicing evening reading, but changed her tactics. For example, while reading a fascinating story, I stopped at the most interesting place with the words: “And if you want to know what happened next – read it yourself, you know how, and I’m tired.” The son tried to be capricious, but the child really wanted to know how further events in the book developed. So he began to read on his own, but how to read – literally voraciously. She even had to sometimes turn off the light in his bedroom, because the boy was ready to read until morning! His favorite pastime was not in vain: today this boy is studying in the final grade of the school and the breadth of his horizons compares favorably with all his classmates.
This case is one of many when a parent’s creativity helped a child fall in love with reading. What recipes do you have in this matter?
