How to lower your triglyceride level?
Avoid foods high in sugars
Like alcohol, sugar is one of the foods to be avoided in case of hypertriglyceridemia. Manufactured food products sometimes contain a lot of carbohydrates, which are called “hidden sugars”. By checking the ingredient list, it is easier to make wise choices. Foods with simple sugars at the top of the list should be avoided since this means that they are present in very large quantities. It is also important to be vigilant since manufacturers use sugar in different forms: glucose, sucrose, sucrose, galactose, fructose and sorbitol.
