How to live together in a studio: tips

No matter how spacious your home is, you will still feel when someone else settles there. Imagine a situation if you live in a studio apartment, where the kitchen and the room are a single space? And then one day, in fact, a stranger invades your small space. How to survive in this situation and not freak out ahead of time?

Adopt new habits

Perhaps the two of you used to love to hang out all night, flowing from one bar to another. But after the man of your dreams decided to move into your studio, you suddenly fell in love with home evenings, watching movies or TV series together, and also a delicious dinner. Situations are different, and we have no right, of course, to judge someone. If you accepted a person, then try to abstract from the concept of “my home” (not in a legal aspect, of course) and make the person feel comfortable living with you too. Believe me, he feels very uncomfortable. Especially at first.

Try to find common ground

Try to find a compromise with your chosen one, because you invited him to share your space with you, and do not climb right into the embrasure. For example, give your man a few shelves where he can place his little things, and be sure to show where he can hang his clothes. In fact, a man also feels uncomfortable at such moments, so you can, for example, choose additional storage systems together so that they fit into the main interior, and your chosen one can install them himself.

Keep clean

It is worth starting with the fact that each person has different ideas about cleanliness and what seems to be the norm for you may be unacceptable for another person. Therefore, immediately discuss the key points and determine who is responsible for what. Fortunately, the area is small and you won’t have to spend the whole day cleaning the premises.

Agree on who occupies the bathroom and when

The point is not even that you suddenly urgently needed to visit the restroom, and your faithful closed there and, it seems, will not come out of there soon. It’s just that all studios have a peculiarity – the sounds coming from the toilet are heard throughout the apartment. Therefore, you can immediately agree with us on the shore that you, for example, will simply turn on the TV or music louder when someone goes to the bath. Well, or you will not pay any attention to it. After all, we are all adults, after all.

Show concern

Show concern. Small rooms are inconvenient because you will have to be together in an enclosed space for almost 24 hours (if you are not working or are busy with one thing). But this also has its advantages. So, for example, if your loved one has a cold, then it will be easier for you to take care of him and do everything so as not to pick up this disease. And in general, in the studios it is difficult to be alone, so all your emotions and experiences will be in plain sight. You will either have to learn to hide your emotions or let the person take care of you.
