How to lighten leg hair. Video
Chemical hair removal helps keep your legs smoother for longer than regular shaving. And the regular use of special substances effectively slows down hair growth.
Specialty creams are popular products for chemical hair removal. They are applied in a fairly thick layer to the skin of the legs and destroy the hair structure within a few minutes. After that, the cream is removed with a special spatula or a hard washcloth, and its remnants are washed off. The active component of the depilatory substance is sodium or potassium thioglycolium salt. It destroys not only the visible tip of the hair, but also the part under the skin. As a result, the legs look smoother, the bristles do not appear on them longer, and the hairs grow back much more slowly. In addition, many depilatory creams contain moisturizing and emollient ingredients. However, chemicals often cause skin irritation, so make sure you are free of allergies before using.
Hair discoloration on the legs
If the skin on your feet is very sensitive and the hairs are fine and soft, try a more gentle procedure – hair bleaching. You can lighten the hairs on your legs at home. For these purposes, hydrogen peroxide or regular lemon is suitable.
You can buy hydrogen peroxide solution at any pharmacy. Apply the solution to your feet with a cotton pad and wait until the liquid is completely dry. Then rinse off the peroxide with cold water. After the procedure, apply a moisturizer to your feet. For best results, add a few drops of 10% ammonia to the solution. This method noticeably brightens and thinns the hairs, and with regular use, they begin to grow very slowly and often break off at the base.
In addition to ammonia, peroxide is mixed with other substances – soda, baby soap, ammonia. However, these methods are more likely to cause allergic reactions.
If you’re worried about an allergic reaction to peroxide, try bleaching your hair with lemon juice. Mix the juice with apple cider vinegar in a 2: 1 ratio and apply the mixture to your feet. Soak for 20-30 minutes and rinse off the solution. The procedure must be repeated regularly, visible results will not appear immediately. In summer, you can use pure lemon juice; lubricate hairs with it and sit for a couple of hours in the sun. The most convenient way to carry out this procedure is on the beach.
Also, the hairs on the legs are lightened with the help of other folk remedies – infusions of chamomile, linden, calendula, dandelion. These recipes have a more gentle effect, but they work gradually and for a long time.
