Butter dough that melts in your mouth is the basis for any cake. Sometimes the hostess needs to try dozens of recipes and even burn or bake a few pies is not enough, in order to learn how to make her perfect dough as a result.

Yeast dough is traditionally used to prepare a festive dinner for the whole family. Making such a dough has always been considered a troublesome task, however, using quick dry yeast and a couple of other secrets, you can learn how to easily put yeast dough.

Recipe for the perfect hearty pie dough

You will need: – 1 kilogram of premium wheat flour; – 200–250 g of butter (try not to replace it with margarine, as it completely changes the taste of baked goods not for the better); – 12 g of dry yeast (about 1 pack); – half a teaspoon of salt; – 65 g of sugar; – one and a half glasses of warm water.

Sift flour into a saucepan, add yeast, sugar and salt there.

Previously, a dough was made from yeast and warm milk, into which flour was added only after a few hours. With the advent of dry yeast, the whole process has become much easier.

Place the chopped butter in warm water and let it dissolve in it. Then pour the resulting solution into the flour and knead the elastic dough. Cover the pan with a lid and place in a warm place for several hours – the dough needs to rise. It won’t swell too much, but it won’t fall off like recipes without butter. While the dough is right, you can start filling.

– 500-700 g of minced meat or chicken (take fatter meat, with it the pie will be more juicy); – 3 large potatoes; – 1 large onion; – salt and pepper – to taste; – 2-3 bay leaves.

Fry the minced meat in a skillet until half cooked. Peel raw onions and potatoes. Cut the potatoes lengthwise into 5 mm round slices, the onion into thin half rings.

Do not slice the potatoes too thick or they will not bake.

Divide the finished dough into two parts. From the bulk, roll the layer a few centimeters wider and longer than the baking sheet. Gently place the dough on a greased baking sheet with vegetable oil, shape the sides. Then lay out the first layer of the filling – the sliced ​​potatoes, it should cover the bottom of the pie. On a potato layer, chop the chopped onion, then salt and pepper the future pie. Put bay leaves in different parts of the pie, you will remove them by slicing the ready-made pie. Finally, lay out a layer of minced meat and cover the pie with rolled dough. Before pinching the edges of the cake, grease them with a beaten egg so that they will not disperse when baking. Brush the finished cake with an egg, and also make several cuts on top of it and let it stand for 10-15 minutes. Then bake at 30 degrees for 180 minutes. If you want a cake for dessert, then homemade condensed milk will certainly come in handy.
