The beauty industry has its own rules that cannot be ignored, unless, of course, you want to “lose” face in the midst of the holiday. Take note of the following rules and forget about ruined makeup!
Skin preparation
Before starting your makeup, you need to carefully prepare your skin. The main rule is hydration! A face filled with cream will be much slower to produce the hated oily sheen, which spoils all makeup. An intensely moisturizing cream is suitable for girls with dry skin, owners of oily skin should use only matting fluid gels, mousses and water-based creams.
The main thing is good tone
Another important nuance on the way to the preservation of makeup throughout the day is the durability of decorative cosmetics. In the line of every self-respecting brand there are products marked “especially resistant”. Foundations are no exception. A perfectly matched foundation will cover imperfections of the skin, while looking natural, without creating a mask effect on the face. However, under the use of persistent products, you must first apply a base – this is a special primer, with the help of which folds and small wrinkles are filled in so that the tone lies evenly. Ideal primers are sprays. They do not grease the skin, are easy to use and are not felt on the face. A few “zips” – you can start the make-up. In addition to sprays, there are also creamy, gels, sticks and pencils.
Lip dress code
As much as you want it, even lipstick with a permanent marker won’t last more than three hours on your lips. And in a holiday setting where kisses, meals and glasses of sparkling wine await you, the validity period may be reduced altogether. In this case, tints will become a real find – this is not lipstick, not gloss, but something unique in the beauty industry. These are products that contain super-resistant pigments. They are absorbed into the lips and color them, give a translucent color, do not stick, do not feel in any way on the skin and do not roll off. You can remove such a make up only with special means: micellar water or milk to remove makeup.
If a tint is not your option and you prefer a rich color, then choose a lipstick. Regardless of whether it is durable or not, matte or glossy, it is imperative to apply a base under it. It will serve as the same primer that you generously sprinkled on your skin before applying the foundation. Lip gloss at a glance: ditch them. This type of cosmetics is the most unstable, moreover, sticky and “flowing” in the warm season.
Makeup test drive
If a very important event is planned, for which you are preparing with special care and want everything to go at its best, take a responsible approach to choosing a makeup artist. Select in advance the master responsible for the beauty. It may even be worth choosing a few specialists and be sure to do a test make-up. As soon as you see that the makeup has “floated”, a greasy shine has appeared and the contours have become not so clear, the napkins will come to the rescue and take away the excess sebum. Only after using them should the powder be applied to the face. If you powder yourself immediately, an unnatural layering will appear and you will get the same mask effect that everyone is afraid of. By the way, about powder: it should not be applied with sponges and sponges, but only with a brush.
Focus on the eyes
For eye makeup, use only ultra-long-lasting or water-resistant products. In the warm season, make up especially needs outside support. An assistant will be a persistent base under the shadow, which will not allow cosmetics to roll down or lose color for at least 12 hours. The base for the eyelids is most often in the form of pencils. At least this format is the most convenient and easy to use. Don’t forget about mascara. It must be waterproof. Even if you are not sentimental and not one of those who shed a tear at the holidays, it is better to play it safe. And remember that only a two-phase product with oils will remove waterproof cosmetics.
Considering that in 90% of cases, the emphasis of makeup is on the eyes, then you can turn a little trick. Use fake tufts or band lashes made from natural fur, they are very comfortable and natural looking. The look will immediately become deeper and more expressive. The beams can be used, for example, in the corners of the eyes, as if drawing an arrow line with cilia and adjusting the cutout of the eyes.
Hold out until the last minute!
The final touch is the make-up clamps. These are sprays or powders that you need to use after complete application of makeup and even powder. After using the retainer, it will be difficult to change anything in the image, since the product forms a protective layer that cannot be removed without prejudice to the entire work of the makeup artist. Life hack: for the longest possible wearing of makeup, you can “squeeze” each stage of applying cosmetics. In this case, the retainer will do its job even better!
