How to keep your home tidy

Get rid of unnecessary things right away

Take it as a principle to regularly review things and immediately sort out what you need from what has already become unusable or you just never plan to use it. Do not accumulate trash, immediately get rid of the unnecessary either by throwing it away or giving it to someone. Make it a habit to look through the most littered areas in your apartment every day and slowly disassemble them.

Place the things that you use all the time within reach so as not to waste a lot of time looking for them. For those items that you only need periodically, determine such a place so that they do not get tangled under your feet, but can be easily reached if necessary.

Get out immediately without delay

Do not spend 15-20 minutes every day cleaning, being surprised that chaos still reigns in the apartment. If you distribute the work little by little, it will feel like you weren’t doing anything at all. Therefore, it is worth setting aside one day and doing everything inside and out. Thus, you will immediately see the result and understand that you were not wasting your time. And from time to time you can only maintain cleanliness, brush off the dust, wipe the floors, and then every time you will spend less time and energy on general cleaning.

Involve at home in the process

Do not take on all the household chores, otherwise you will be exhausted too quickly and hate the process itself. Better make a plan of action and ask your family for help. In a family council, decide who can be responsible for what, taking into account the individual workload. Let this be a small assignment, but you will know that you are not fighting clutter alone. And do not forget to reward your family for the work done, so that next time they themselves express a desire to do something around the house (without your reminder).

Monitor the work done

Start a home organizer, where you will note the completed tasks and what remains to be done. List all household chores and detail each item, mark regular tasks and one-time promotions, then determine the time frame and who will entrust this task. As a result, you should have a kind of task for a week with an indication of who is responsible for what. This will make it easier for you to control the process and always stay up to date.
