How to keep up with everything on maternity leave
How to do everything if you have a child? And if not one? Active residents of the metropolis know the answer: they not only do business on maternity leave, but also keep themselves in great shape! Woman’s Day learned how Chelyabinsk moms do everything.
Polina Popova, 27 years old, mother of Nikolina’s daughter, 1 year old, a member of the Sanchez restaurant team:
Despite being busy, I love sports: I work out in the gym. At first it was a desire to regain shape after childbirth, during feeding I lost weight, and I needed to gain it. Now I am doing simple exercises at home: abs, squats. I love yoga, however, while there is no time for it. Together with my husband, we ride longboards and even teach our daughter to this sport.
For the fact that I have time for all thisMany thanks to our grandmothers and my husband, who can get up at eight in the morning and stay with her daughter while I go to workout. But it is not always possible to leave a daughter to grandmothers, so we are looking for a way out.
If you want, you can do a lot and have time!
Our family acquired a business – restaurant. Therefore, now we – me, my husband, his brother and wife – are promoting it and arranging events in the institution. And on September 21 we will have a “Delicious show”, timed to the fashion event
I take my daughter with me to business meetings, and no one is surprised that she is with us everywhere. In addition, this is very useful to her: she is very socialized, reaches out to people, communicates with everyone. In addition, our restaurant has a children’s room. Therefore, sitting at the table during the meeting, I can look after the child.
My day goes something like this. I try to wake up before everyone else, put myself in order and do all my business. Then I wake up my daughter and study with her, and then together we wake up dad. Family breakfast with the whole family is already a tradition. Then, if we agreed with the grandmother, then we take our daughter to her, and we ourselves go to the restaurant to work: we have a busy time now, meeting follows meeting. If there is an event in the restaurant in the evening, we invite grandmother and daughter there so that they can have fun and have a good time. Sometimes in the evening we go for a walk with the whole family. In the summer – a longboard, and in the winter we are waiting for skiing and training on a snowboard. On weekends we try to go somewhere out of town, to a recreation center, we can take a little trip to another city to see friends. And, of course, we ride longboards together.
More important to me than sleep morning workout, because it gives you a boost of vivacity for the whole day. When the parents, after the birth of my daughter, suggested that they sit with her, persuaded to sleep longer, I refused, and did not regret it at all.
When I tried to get in shape after giving birth and breastfeeding, I followed the recommendations of the nutrition coach. There were no particularly harsh prohibitions, but I learned to eat wisely. I needed to eat more carbohydrates, eat a lot, but right. The right fats – this is linseed oil, the right carbohydrates are cereals and durum pasta. Since then, I prefer to steam more dishes. But I will never give up pizza. And I’m also a terrible sweet tooth, but I try to slow down, because with age it becomes more difficult to maintain a figure. “
Svetlana Savicheva, 32 years old, mother of three children: Sasha, 6 years old, Dima, 3 years old, Gosha, 9 months
She is engaged in business, participated in the “fitness bikini” competition, maintains a blog and a Youtube channel.
“I have been doing exercises and pumping the abs for as long as I can remember. She was engaged in pole dancing, trained at home. In decree there was time for trainingand I started going to the gym. The last time I participated in the “fitness bikini” was before my pregnancy in April 2014. This was a spontaneous decision. So far I am not preparing for the next competition, but it is possible that someday I will want to be among the bikinists again. For the last month I have been selling baby cots, in addition, I am going through training to become a fitness trainer, shoot fitness videos and post them on YouTube. Children are not a hindrance to self-development, on the contrary, I think that decree is a great opportunity to do what you have always wanted to try. The whole question is desire.
If you want something very badly, you will always find time for it.
I can train at home, and not in the gym, while the children are playing. In the era of the Internet, you can promote your products from the comfort of your home, look for people with common interests and goals.
It is important to sleep and exercise. For me, these are not mutually exclusive things, since I am an early riser, I get up at about 6 in the morning, and all my workouts are in the morning. I know that it will be more difficult for me to find time to work out during the day. And I go to bed early, at 10-11 o’clock I am already “gone.”
One day of mine: at six in the morning I get up, prepare clothes for the children in the kindergarten, take care of myself. Then I accompany the children to the kindergarten, and while the youngest sleeps, I train. Then everything depends on the plan drawn up the day before: either I write articles for blogs, or go shopping, or do business: I take orders, check the quality of the goods … I have time to talk to my husband. This is how my day goes by. “
