How to iron the arrows on trousers
Attention to one’s appearance is indicated by details, for example, even, symmetrical, perfectly ironed arrows on the trousers. If you do not know how to iron the arrows on your trousers correctly, here are some simple tips that will make it quick and easy.
The key to success is the right preparation
In order for the trousers to be perfectly ironed, and the arrows to be even and clear, several conditions are necessary:
Perfectly flat ironing board surface. It should not have dents, creases, folds.
Iron with steaming mode, preheated to the optimum temperature. There are recommendations on the temperature regime of ironing on the inner labels of the trousers – it must be observed so as not to spoil the fabric.
Thin gauze or cotton cloth through which the arrows should be ironed.
To make the hands last longer, you can add vinegar to the water to moisten the gauze at the rate of 1 tablespoon per liter.

How to iron hands correctly?
Only clean, completely dry trousers should be ironed.
Place the turned-out pants on the ironing board, iron the fabric.
Start ironing, moving from top to bottom: first the belt, then the pockets and their lining, and then the legs along the entire length.
Turn the pants right over and iron them again through damp gauze.
Now you can start forming the arrows: turn the pants over and fold the edges of the legs so that the seams match. The resulting folds will be arrows, check if they are symmetrically located, and fix them in several places with invisible pins.
Run the arrows through cheesecloth dipped in vinegar solution. Make sure that the fabric of the trousers does not move. The vinegar solution will also help if the fabric of the trousers is slightly greasy from the iron: wipe the trousers with a cloth soaked in vinegar and let them dry. At the very end, smooth the arrows at the top of the pants towards the waist.
After all the arrows are ironed, let the trousers dry completely, otherwise the folds will not hold their shape.
There is one more little trick that will help to prolong the life of shooters: before ironing the shooters, grease the fabric of the trousers in the place of the fold on the wrong side with a piece of laundry soap. The fabric will become denser, folds will hold their shape better and wrinkle less.
It is better to store trousers with arrows in the closet on a special metal hanger with clips.
