– I adore mirrors and try to fully reveal all their possibilities. In the bathroom or in the kitchen, I use aged mirrors as an apron for reasons of practicality, splashes on them are almost invisible. In a bedroom with such surfaces, you need to be careful so that people sleeping on the bed are not reflected in them. Many of my clients believe in feng shui, which does not allow this. Decorators use mirrors to change the perception of space, to visually enlarge it. Therefore, remember: the smaller the area of the apartment, the more reflective surfaces it should have. I love the technique that involves a combination of different types of mirrors – colored, matte, convex, and I often use it in interiors.
In the interior of the designer and decorator Marina Gaskova, surfaces reflect light from the windows, adding radiance and spaciousness to the room.
