How to grease buns and pies – 6 culinary life hacks
 

Beautiful, ruddy, shiny and such fragrant cakes and rolls will not leave anyone indifferent. In shops and bakeries, they always look perfect and appetizing, but how to achieve such an effect at home?

Everything is very simple, we will teach!

Egg. To give shine to the surface of cakes and rolls – use an egg. It should be beaten with a fork with a small pinch of salt and applied with a soft brush on the product before baking.

Yolk. This is our grandmothers’ favorite life hack. The yolk mixed with milk or cream will give the cake a richer and more ruddy color. Take a ratio of 1: 1, mix and apply to the surface of the products before baking.

 

White. Just shake the protein with a fork and grease the cakes before baking. But keep in mind that although protein will add shine to your pastries, it will make the crust a bit brittle.

sweet water. If, suddenly, you do not have eggs, sweet water will do. Dissolve the sugar in a small amount of water and after the products are baked, directly on the hot, apply fresh water with a brush on top.

Oil. To give a ruddy color, the cake is greased with vegetable or melted butter before baking. You will not achieve a glossy shine, but a ruddy crust will be guaranteed. Milk will add the same result.

Strong tea. Make strong, strong and, of course, sweet tea. You will be surprised, but if you smear the product before baking with tea, the crust will be incredibly shiny and ruddy.
