First of all, prepare the surface on which you will glue the wallpaper. Remove all old trim, flatten the surface, repair any cracks. Treat the surface with an antifungal solution. Turn off electricity, remove all plugs and switches.
Let’s start the gluing process:
- We cut pieces according to the height of the walls, adding 6-10 cm.
- According to the instructions, we dilute the glue and leave it to infuse.
- Using a level, draw a vertical line on the wall so that the first canvas is glued evenly.
- The adhesive is applied to the strips and to the wall. After saturating the canvas with glue, we stand for some time.
- Place the first piece exactly along the vertical line. Better to glue together, one at the bottom, the other at the top.
- We press the canvas against the wall and with a roller, starting from the middle, smooth out bubbles and irregularities.
- Excess glue is carefully removed with a clean cloth.
- Remove excess wallpaper from above and below with a clerical knife.
- We glue the rest of the pieces, joining with the previous ones. If there is a drawing, then we combine it.
- Iron the joints between the wallpaper with a rubber roller.
- In places of connectors and sockets, wallpaper is glued to the holes.
- An overlap of 3-4 cm is made in the corners. Then it is overlapped with a piece on the other side of the corner. Surplus is cut off.
