how to give up plastic in your life

😉 Hello friends! Thank you for being here! I already respect you for your interest in the topic: environmental assistance! Our planet is sick of plastic, which kills birds, fish, animals and plants! The earth is in trouble and is screaming for help …

It’s terrible how much waste can accumulate in one family in a week, especially during the New Year’s holidays. The large amount of waste creates an incredible burden on waste management organizations and the ecosystem.

A similar scenario repeats all year round, just on a slightly smaller scale. Humanity is slowly “sawing the branch on which it sits.”

Plastic everywhere you look

What do you see most often when you look at the contents of your trash can? This may not be quite ubiquitous, but in most homes, plastic dominates the waste. Some people sort their trash and put the plastic in a separate container.

There are many ways to reduce plastic waste. And even a small step from you will help to cope with this task. This will help the environment.

Plastic has a long service life, so it decomposes in nature from 100 to 1000 years. The big problem is the huge amount of waste accumulating around the world, including the oceans.

The difficulties do not end there, and the danger of plastic affects each of us. Its tiny particles can be found everywhere – in soil, water and even in our bodies, which can lead to health problems. Therefore, an alternative must be sought not only for the sake of nature, but also for our own sake.

How to help the planet

Food and drink packaging. While there are plenty of non-plastic bottles on the market, food boxes are often made of plastic. Chemicals can be released into food if stored improperly and at high temperatures.

You can also buy stainless steel boxes, but they are more expensive and heavier. After all, instead of, for example, food foil, you can use homemade waxed napkins.

How to do it? You will need a leftover natural absorbent fabric, 2 tablespoons of beeswax, and a teaspoon of coconut oil. Spread a clean, washed cloth on a baking sheet, treat baking paper with wax and coconut oil and cover the material, place in an oven preheated to 150-180 ° C.

The wax melts quickly, once it has melted, you must take out the baking sheet and remove the napkin with baking paper so that as much wax remains on it as possible. Let cool and you’re done.

Almost everything can be packed in such a napkin. If it gets dirty, wipe it off with a damp cloth and can be reused.

If you go shopping, use cloth bags. Stop throwing plastic bags over nature! Use biodegradable polyethylene food and waste bags (decomposition time 3 years). I only use these!

😉 Don’t miss this problem! Friends, what do you think about this? How do you personally provide environmental assistance?
