By default, active hyperlinks in Word open in the default browser. To do this, click on the link while holding down the key Ctrl. If you want to open hyperlinks with just one click, change the settings to not use the combination Ctrl+Click.
To open the settings, go to the tab Fillet (File).
From the list of menu options on the left side of the screen, select Options (Options).
On the left side of the dialog box Word Options (Word Options) click Advanced (Additionally).
In section Editing options (Editing options) uncheck the box next to Use CTRL + Click to follow hyperlink (Ctrl + click to select hyperlink).
Press OKto confirm changes and close the dialog Word Options (Word Options).
Now, when you hover your mouse over a hyperlink, it immediately changes to a hand. From now on, you only need to click once to open the link.
Note: If you disable the option Use CTRL + Click to follow hyperlink (Ctrl + click to select a hyperlink), you will not be able to place the cursor in the hyperlink text by clicking on it (mouse clicking will open the link in the browser). Use the arrows on your keyboard to move the cursor to the location you want.
