How to fight and cope with toxicosis?

What to do if a good morning wish is clearly not for you. The aroma of your favorite pancakes no longer causes joy and pleasure, but, on the contrary, makes you run away from the kitchen. And the pregnancy is only at the very beginning. Are there methods to combat insidious toxicosis? Since toxicosis is not a disease, it cannot be cured, but it is possible to alleviate the suffering of expectant mothers. There are many ways to do this.

A simple and proven set of breathing exercises

When doing these exercises, make sure that the room is well ventilated.

  1. When you wake up in the morning and without getting out of bed, take a deep breath. Imagine yourself as an empty vessel. Inhaling, fill this vessel from the bottom to the neck. First, the stomach is filled with air, and then the chest rises. After that, without holding your breath, slowly exhale in reverse order. First we release air from the chest, and then from the abdomen. And we repeat again. Take 5-6 breaths in and out.

  2. Place your hands on the stomach area. Take a slow even breath, but at the same time make sure that the air does not fall below the line of the hands. Then exhale.

  3. We do everything, as in the previous exercise, but we collect air only in the abdomen. The chest does not wobble.

  4. The following exercise helps well with sudden attacks of nausea, wherever they find you. Take a strong but even breath in with a full chest, and exhale slowly, as if pouring air down your throat.

  5. Exactly deeply inhaling, draw air into the chest. Place your hands on the stomach area. Exhaling sharply, help yourself with a diaphragm, as if pushing air out with a piston. In this case, the breath should be one long, and the exhalation should be divided into three sharp, short pushes. This exercise should be performed in the first half of pregnancy.

  6. Slowly get out of bed, dividing the rise into three stages:

    • lifted the body

    • dangled legs;

    • performed the fourth exercise, and then slowly got to their feet. Do not strain, raise your hands up, and imagine that you are holding a vessel in them. Inhale slowly with a full chest, then slowly bend your torso into a slight half-tilt. Keep your back straight, but without tension. Don’t lean low. Throw the vessel down sharply, accompanying it with a noisy exhalation. Straighten up while inhaling.

During breathing exercises, the amount of oxygen increases sharply, and the level of carbon dioxide decreases. This process may be accompanied by dizziness. Don’t be scared, that’s how it should be. Hold your breath for up to 30 seconds. Exhale.

By mastering the breathing technique, you can stop nausea attacks anywhere. In addition, proper breathing facilitates the process of childbirth.

Time-Tested Tips

  1. Drink the daily norm of liquid not in one gulp, but in small sips, gradually and often.

  2. Observe the daily regimen.

  3. Perform exercises for your trimester of pregnancy, approved by your doctor. Everything related to physical activity should be done carefully if you are into sports. If you were actively involved in sports before pregnancy, there will be no problems.

  4. Do not ignore the experience of the East. Take a course of reflexology.

There are some simple recipes that are easy to implement.

  1. Ginger tea. For pregnant women, it is better not to insist on ginger for a long time, and not to use it as a decoction, since too high a concentration can, on the contrary, provoke nausea. Pour a teaspoon of grated root with a glass of boiling water. Let it brew for about 20 minutes. Then strain, add a spoonful of honey, and drink in small sips.

  2. Mint ginger tea. We brew in the same way, but to the grated root, add a few sprigs of mint.

  3. If you like dried fruit compoteadd some ginger and raisins. So, you will receive an additional portion of potassium and other salts useful for the child.

  1. Lemonade #1. In hot water (60 ° C no more), add sliced ​​u1bu1blemon. The ratio should be XNUMX liter of water and XNUMX lemon. Cover with a towel and let it brew for about half an hour. You can add a few sprigs of mint. After standing, add a few teaspoons of honey. Taste.

  2. Lemonade #2. Lemons must be washed very thoroughly under hot water, preferably with a brush. Then cut into slices, along with the skin. We interrupt in a blender with a sprig of mint. Fill with cold water. Add honey and stir. We put it in the refrigerator overnight – be sure. If you infuse at room temperature, or fill it with warm water, it will be bitter. In the morning we strain and drink to health.
