Natural food. Its advantage is that the owner knows exactly what he is giving his pet. At the same time, this type of food requires a lot more hassle with the purchase of food, their storage and preparation.

Natural food should be well balanced, that is, it should contain:

  • 50% of protein foods: meat, fish, eggs, dairy products.
  • 30% complex carbohydrates (porridge).
  • 20% vitamins and fiber: vegetables, herbs.

The number of feedings decreases as the puppy grows. If at 1–2 months he needs to eat 5 times a day, then after 8 months he can switch to constant two meals a day.

In addition to food, there should always be a supply of fresh drinking water in a separate bowl. This is especially important when feeding with dry food.

The required amount of food at one time is determined by the behavior of the dog. If the food remains in the bowl, while the animal is healthy, then the portion needs to be reduced. But if the dog licks the bowl clean and asks for more, then it is obvious that he is not full.
