Don’t limit yourself to the usual black arrows – use trendy colored, metallic or iridescent pencils for your liner.
Eye makeup: how to correctly draw with a pencil?
Features of pencil eyeliner
A pencil is the perfect cosmetic for beginners. It is easy to apply, and lines that are not too even are quickly corrected with a cotton swab. Pencil arrows can be rubbed with a brush or an applicator, and if necessary, with the same stick, it is easy to draw thin and bright arrows. A pencil can serve as a backing for a liquid eyeliner – it will brighten it up.
Pencils are striking in the variety of colors. The most commonly used are black, dark brown, green and blue. However, other options come in handy for trendy makeup.
Karim’s eyes will go with turquoise and shiny golden pencils, blue ones will decorate ultramyrin and burgundy shades, and green leads can be matched with copper or reddish-brown shades.
Among the disadvantages of pencil arrows is their fragility. Lines wear out and fade, and they can leak if you cry or get caught in the rain. Always wear the pencil you used for your makeup in your cosmetic bag – if necessary, you can quickly touch up the eyeliner that has lost its clarity.
You will need:
- pencils of different shades
- magnifying mirror
- thin latex applicator
- shadows of the appropriate shade
Do not let the mucous membrane down – this makes the gaze harsh, moreover, you can injure the cornea with a sharp lead
Sharpen your pencil. If it is too hard and does not draw well, warm the lead in the palms of your hands or blow it with a stream of warm air from a hair dryer. For eyeliner, you need a moderately soft lead that glides well on the skin. Prepare your magnifying mirror and sit close to the window so you can draw straight and symmetrical arrows.
Cover one eye and lightly draw a line on the upper eyelid, keeping close to the roots of the lashes. Don’t try to trace the arrow in one go – draw in short strokes. If the line is uneven, rub it lightly with a fine applicator. The arrow can be extended beyond the outer corner of the eye and slightly raised. However, keep in mind that the “tail” of the arrow may be smeared – it will have to be painted on throughout the day.
To make the eyeliner last longer, duplicate the line with dry shadows of the same color.
You can bring not only the upper, but also the lower eyelid. Use the same pencil or use a different shade of lead. Don’t forget to connect the lines in the outer corner of the eye – this will complement the makeup. In addition, broken lines make the eyes look smaller.
Looking to enlarge your eyes? Gradually expand the pencil line at the outer corner of the eye. Increase the number of pencil strokes and gently blend them with the applicator. Do not halfway down the eyelids, starting in the middle – this makeup looks old-fashioned.
If you plan to create the most natural makeup possible, choose a dark brown or black and gray pencil and paint a few short strokes along the upper lash line. This will add volume and fluffiness to them and allow them to do without mascara.
