How to erase beaded and cross stitching

Chopped or round beads are a very popular material for needlewomen. From it, both individual elements of the picture and full-fledged canvases are obtained equally well: landscapes, icons, images of animals.

Any print is noticeable on the snow-white canvas. What can we say about marking with a pencil or marker! Therefore, if the beads are transparent, then the marks can shine through, and it is difficult to remove them without damaging the pattern and material. In addition, low-quality beads can stain the fabric or peel off.

There are two main methods used to clean linens: water wash and surface cleaning. In the first case, use lukewarm water, in which you can dissolve hair shampoo or neutral-colored hand soap (without dyes). What should be done:

– very carefully wash off dust and marks from the fabric;

– rinse under a cool stream;

– hang over the bathroom for a few minutes so that the water is glass;

– put the product on a thick terry towel and roll it up;

– unfold, spread on a dry towel, shape and dry.

For superficial cleaning, the soap suds are applied to the dirt with a toothbrush and wiped off. If a small surface is treated, there is no need to rinse the product. This is a more gentle option.

Beads may fade after contact with water. Therefore, after washing it must be wiped with a vinegar solution. Like any glass, beads start to shine under the influence of vinegar. The solution is prepared from 2 tbsp. l. table vinegar and ½ tbsp. cooled boiling water. Acetic water does not wash the paint off the beads, but you cannot wet the product with it, you just need to wipe the pattern.
