How to embed fonts in a Microsoft Word document

When you email a copy of a document or presentation and the recipient does not have the font you are using installed, the missing font is replaced by the default font. This threatens to turn the entire layout of the document into a mess. The problem can be solved by embedding the font directly in the file.

Embedding fonts

Just because no one else has the pretty fonts you use doesn’t mean you should give them up. Instead, you can embed these fonts directly into your document. Feel free to go to the tab Fillet (File) and press Options (Settings) in the menu on the left.

In the opened dialog box Word Options (Word Options) go to Save (Preservation).

Check the box next to the option Embed fonts in the file (embed fonts in file).

Since the font is now part of the document, the user will be able to view your document correctly, whether the user has the font installed or not. As an additional option, you can embed only those characters that are in the document into the document, thereby reducing the file size.
