How to effectively relieve wasp stings?
When spring comes, nature wakes up and wasps come out of their long period of hibernation which lasted all winter. And the more sunny days approach, the more they will emerge from their newly built nests and gradually become potential threats for your walks in the open air. When this period arrives, it is then useful to know some tips to relieve the painful bites of these unwanted insects.
First step: eliminate the venom
Unlike the mosquito which injects saliva when it bites its victim, the wasp, like the bee for that matter, injects a venom. It is this, and not the sting itself, that is so painful. The first thing to do after being stung is to remove this venom..
You can use a venom pump for this if you have one handy. Otherwise, an intense heat source may do the trick. Then all you have to do is bring a lighter or a hair dryer to the bite, without ever touching the skin, so as to destroy the quantity of venom that the wasp has deposited under your skin.
Disinfect your bite
Once this first step is completed, you must disinfect your bite. A local disinfectant will be perfectly suited for this use and if you do not have one, you can make one yourself from white vinegar diluted in a little water and applied with a sterile compress.
Then let the bite air dry, without protecting it with a bandage or bandage.
