How to eat sweets and lose weight: tips

The famous confectioner Oleg Ilyin talks about how to indulge yourself in sweets and at the same time not lose face (and figure!).

We all ask this question almost every day, and instead of giving up sweets, because this will really help solve problems with excess weight, we reach for another piece of chocolate. If you do not have willpower and you simply cannot give up your favorite profiteroles or cheesecake, our expert will tell you how to build and not deny yourself anything.

The modern rhythm of life often leads to the fact that we eat indiscriminately, on the go, often overeat or malnourish. In a word, the food culture is broken or completely absent, for example, many people eat and do not let go of their phone. Girls, remember: one of the sworn enemies of your waist while eating is the phone! Instagram and food are never useful! “

This is elementary: due to the fact that your beautiful brain is distracted by the current Eldercoin course and Yegor Creed’s new hairstyle, it cannot simultaneously control the feeling of fullness in the body, so you girls will need more food to feel full. The feeling of fullness, which usually comes 20 minutes after a meal, is delayed by another 15-20 minutes due to viewing the feed of social networks. You simply do not hear the signals given by the unhappy stomach: “Masha! Stop it! I’m full! Stop! Finish aaaaay! “

And when you “indulge” in this business while taking sweets – there is generally a disaster. You can launch yourself in such a way that you won’t be released later …

But if you are a big lover of sweets, but at the same time you are going to follow your own weight, I will give some simple tips that will help you keep yourself in shape.

1. To begin with, eliminate all hyper-harmful foods (soda, cream cakes, margarine cookies) and give preference to natural sweets that can benefit the body.

2. If you cannot spend your day without chocolate, choose good quality chocolate that contains at least 50% cocoa, no artificial flavors and colors. Chocolate with a cocoa content of 70% and higher is better for those who are losing weight with a sweet tooth. It is this kind of chocolate that is able to gradually saturate the body with energy, not create a sharp jump in blood glucose and, as a result, not be deposited in fat. Eat 30 grams of dark chocolate two to three times a week, and it will perfectly satisfy your cravings for sweet without harming your forms!

3. If there is no allergy – take a closer look at the doctor. This is a real storehouse of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Honey is much sweeter than sugar, which will allow you to achieve the same sweetness in smaller quantities, and, accordingly, in calories.

4. Dried fruits are generally an ideal and completely natural option. They contain the whole range of useful and valuable microelements such as vitamins, fiber, pectin, antioxidants. For those who are afraid of getting fat, in addition to the nutritional benefits, dried fruits are valuable for their natural sweetness. They easily eliminate the body’s need for glucose. Eat 3-5 pieces of your favorite dried fruit, and you will bring tremendous benefits to the body.

5. And, finally, marmalade. For many years I have been offering my guests handmade marmalade – truly homemade, made with great love and warmth, exclusively from natural ingredients on agar-agar (young people may not know what it is, but girls over 30-35 will definitely understand what am I talking about). When choosing marmalade, stop only on those “varieties” that are made from natural ingredients, namely – fruit or berry puree, sugar, as well as pectin, agar-agar or gelatin. Pectin, by the way, also lowers cholesterol and has a beneficial effect on the stomach.

Don’t forget about general recommendations. Aim to eat small meals every 2-3 hours, choosing healthy foods. Eliminate convenience foods and fast food from your diet, which only clog the body with unnecessary elements and excess calories. Choose less heat-treated cooking methods (boiling, stewing, steaming, grilling). Thus, you will not only preserve the nutritional value of foods, but also reduce the number of calories in your menu.

Of course, drink enough water, on average 2-2,5 liters per day. Water helps to speed up the body’s metabolism, which helps burn fat and flushes out toxins from the body.

So. This is all that concerns “what can I replace half a ton of chocolate with a day – I will die without sweets!”

Now to more elegant and interesting options for solving this urgent existential problem of our time – how to eat desserts and not get fat.

It is possible to reconcile tasty and non-nutritious. The main thing is to remember that the task is to enjoy the sweetness (and in general – to prevent a more serious breakdown, which will nullify all your “dietary” efforts), and not send another piece of carbohydrates into the stomach. Therefore, the best thing is to cook the treats yourself! You will be able to reduce the calorie content of the dish by more than half (in comparison with the “beauties” from storefronts).

Making cottage cheese dessert? Wonderful! Just take a package of low-fat, and replace sour cream with natural milk yogurt. Want to use sugar? But don’t! Replace it with fructose (it is 1,5 times sweeter than sugar for the same calorie content), and the same butter with applesauce!

If you like baking, replace wheat flour with whole grain, oatmeal, rice. But use this flour without fanaticism. After all, their calorie content is about the same, but there are more benefits (slow carbohydrates, which do not tend to fat, but provide energy).

And also – add vanilla, cinnamon or other spices, and then the prepared dessert will seem unrealistically sweet and tasty to you! Forget about pies in the pan – completely switch to the oven and multicooker.

For homemade desserts, choose ingredients rich in fiber (fruits, berries), proteins (egg white, low-fat cottage cheese), healthy fats (nuts).

Even when cooking at home, eat your healthy sweets in the morning (ideally before 12 noon) and in moderation so that your total daily calorie intake is within normal limits. This will energize your body for the day and burn calories throughout the day. Well, in general, girls, we remember the main gastronomic rule of any self-respecting lady – “do not overeat!” (as the great Mary Poppins bequeathed). Measure is needed in everything. That’s all.
