Food in hotels
For recreation, it is advisable to choose hotels or sanatoriums where there are various dietary tables. If the hotel does not provide such a service, it is better to organize meals on your own – in a dining room, a nearby restaurant or other food point. So there will be more opportunities to provide the necessary diet.
The general rules for the formation of the menu are as follows:
The presence of liquid dishes – soups, preferably vegetable, lean borscht.
Porridge (for example, rice, buckwheat or millet), pasta, boiled potatoes as a base. Side dishes should be free of additives, including spices and fats.

Vegetable salads without onions, garlic, radishes and other hot fruits and spices.
Limited amount of sauces.
Sweets – jams, fruit salads and fruit purees, pies.
Drinks – herbal teas, juices, fruit drinks.
Be careful with mushrooms and legumes.

The following dishes must be excluded from the diet:
Fried and deep-fried foods.
Fatty gravy, broths (allowed only for constipation, gastritis with low acidity and colitis in remission).
Scrambled eggs (it is better to use boiled soft-boiled eggs).
Cabbage, fruits and vegetables with a pronounced taste – sour, spicy, salty, overly sweet.
Semi-finished products.
Salty meals.
Strong tea and coffee.
Alcohol.
Desserts – chocolate, ice cream, custards and pastries with them.
Eating in exotic countries
Stomach pain and intestinal upset can cloud any vacation, especially if it is in exotic countries. It is impossible to fully prepare for this, and if the food you are trying is too fatty or spicy, and different from what you are used to, then digestive upset is quite expected.
1. First of all, as elsewhere, it is necessary to refuse to eat food of dubious qualitya (if you smell an unpleasant smell or the product does not look fresh enough). And even if you are confident in the quality, then moderation in food consumption is what will help to avoid many digestive problems.
2… It should be remembered that meat and fish products that have not undergone heat treatment (raw) are potentially dangerous – infection of various types of parasitic infection is possible.
3. On vacation, do not get too carried away with exotic products, especially various seafood and fruits. Such dishes can cause indigestion, which will affect the condition of a chronic patient and can provoke an exacerbation of the underlying disease. The listed delicacies must first be tried in small quantities and introduced into the diet only if there were no violations on the part of the gastrointestinal tract.
4. It is recommended to use only bottled water. And special attention should be paid to drinks with ice (it is better to refuse it), since ice is most often made from tap water.
