How to drink juices

Research has shown that orange, apple, and grapefruit juice can reduce the healing effects of certain antibiotics and antipyretics. Fruit juices prevent drugs from entering the bloodstream and delivering them to the necessary parts of the body.

Dr. David Bailey, one of the study participants, said that the observed effect is probably just the tip of the iceberg, in fact a list of drugs whose effectiveness decreases when taken together with fruit juices, is much wider. For example, grapefruit juice enhances the effect of a drug that stabilizes blood pressure, – felodipine, which can lead to sad consequences.

Now scientists recommend not to drink juices two hours before taking medications, and it would be even better to increase this interval to 4 hours and consult with your doctor about taking medications and juices together.
