Olga Romanova, make-up artist of the program “Catch in 24 Hours” on the STS channel, explained how to look beautiful in the morning, talked about the main trends of the season and shared the secret of creating the effect of well-groomed skin in just ten minutes.
Perfect make-up is based on healthy, even skin
It all starts with a well-groomed and healthy skin. This is the key to a successful make-up. Now there are many ways to achieve this. For example, use patches under the eyes. They will remove swelling around the eyes in 10-15 minutes. Modern tonal means help not only hide skin imperfections, but also heal and care for it. All that remains is to find a product that will satisfy your needs. Apply the tone more to the ears and neck. Do not forget to soften your lips with balm, so the lipstick will lie smoother. Use sculpting powder to highlight your cheekbones, and apply transparent powder in a thin and light layer. To complete your look, false eyelashes will help to make your look brighter and deeper.
Olga believes that the quality of cosmetics directly depends on the price.
Frankly, as a rule, there is a direct relationship between price and quality, but some brands are superior and not inferior to luxury. Even more affordable brands have pleasant surprises, for example, in Russian cosmetics there are products for those who do not have much money, but want to remain beautiful.
As I said, the main thing is the perfect complexion. Red matte lipstick does not lose its position either. Find the right shade to match your color type. For the eyes, I advise using a light smoky eye makeup, without sharp and clear boundaries. The main thing in makeup is its result and durability.
Olga is sure that it is also important to find your own style in makeup.
I am a confident girl, I can safely walk without makeup on my face and with a bun on my head, or show up for breakfast with red lipstick. Now I am not a special experimenter in appearance, I would even say a conservative. When I was in my teens, I actively tried on images, did my hair, changed my hair color every two months and went with very bright makeup. I have found my ideal image, in which I am comfortable to be. For me, a good face tone, lips, eyebrows, sculpting are paramount, well, where without eyelashes. But still, I advocate an individual style, because each face has its own make-up. I often make my favorite smokey ice for my clients, but rarely for myself. On me, this makeup looks like a chic evening dress, so I leave it for special occasions.
I am a confident girl – I can easily go outside without a make-up and with a bun on my head!
I treat all my clients as important and demanding stars. There is no separation for me. I work to the maximum so that the person leaves happy. With the stars, of course, there is a special nature of work, but it is rather technical: a make-up artist needs to know the structure of light, take into account photography and video filming, and make makeup persistent. It is important that the result is perfect. Entering the stage, a star should not think what is on her face, she needs to tune in, enter the image. You need to understand that such clients make money with their face and there should be no mistakes.
I have an excellent attitude to what helps to develop my favorite profession. I have been in this industry for almost 16 years and started at the origins when there was a shortage of products, information, opportunities. At the moment, it’s cool that a lot of schools and beauty bloggers have sprung up. I am incredibly happy for two of my colleagues who have reached heights on the Internet – Elena Krygina and Gohar Avetisyan. Goar, I am also proud because she was able to get into the top of the best beauty bloggers in the world. Only together we are strength. I am extremely flattered that my profession has been elevated to a clan of special people.
Olga takes style lessons from Alexander Rogov
To be honest, I don’t understand much about this. Sasha Rogov gives me advice, he also has master classes, where he tells everything very clearly and clearly. Last year I bought only ten percent of my clothes, because Rogov’s assistant picks them up for me.
I’m ashamed to admit it, but my mom deliberately asked me to make her make-up only twice.
When the competition finally eats me up and is kicked out of this market, I will go to the island, open a Russian cafe and cook borscht! (Laughs) I’m kidding, but it’s quite possible. In my work I want to be relevant, fashionable, slightly change direction, but now I am more interested in my own brand for the production of cilia. I plan to make it in such a way that it would satisfy any buyer as much as possible in price, quality, and range.
The material was recorded as part of a master class by Olga Romanova in Saratov (05.04.2015/XNUMX/XNUMX), organized by Maria Pavlova and Natalia Olkhova.
