How is milk diluted? Use warm water to dissolve the powder. You can not take a cold one: small grains of concentrate will remain, hot liquid is not recommended: the product will curdle. Therefore, we boil the required amount of water and let it cool to a temperature that is slightly above room temperature. For 5 tsp. powder needs 200 ml of water.

Put milk powder in a bowl. Pour 50 ml out of the total amount of water. Pour in a thin stream, stirring constantly. Stir very thoroughly until all the lumps are dispersed. Then add the remaining water to the prepared concentrated solution and mix well again. After that, it is necessary to let the mixture settle for 10-15 minutes. During this time, the milk protein contained in the powder will completely swell. The milk is ready to use. In this way, we will prepare a product with a fat content of 2,5%.

By varying the amount of dry concentrate for the same volume of liquid, milk with different fat content can be obtained.

If powdered milk is to be used for making porridge, baking or pancakes, then there is no need to dilute it to the full volume of milk required by the recipe. It is enough to dissolve the required amount of powder in a small volume of liquid, as described earlier, and add the rest of the volume with lukewarm water while mixing the ingredients. At the same time, the proportions remain basic: to obtain 200 ml of the finished product, you need 5 tsp. dry powder.

Using powdered milk powder is a great alternative to whole foods. This is especially important in the absence of storage conditions.
