How to descale a boiler – video, recommendations

The models differ from each other in designs, so some of the nuances are individual for each case. However, a sequence of actions is known that applies to all boilers. First of all, the water heater is disconnected from the power supply, the water is drained from it. How to do it?

1. Turn off the water tap.

2. Disconnect the water supply to the boiler.

3. Connect a rubber hose to the non-return valve, directing it to the bathroom or toilet.

4. Drain off the water.

After that, you can proceed to the analysis of the boiler. It is advisable to remove it from the wall, then the work will be more convenient and safer. If this is not possible, it is imperative to dry the wiring after cleaning, since water will probably get on it.

Use screwdrivers to remove the front cover, thermostat knob and protection panel. An electrician is located there, which requires at least basic knowledge to work with. Disconnect the power cable, then unscrew the thermostat and flange. The final stage of the preparatory actions is the removal of the heating element (tubular electric heater). To avoid problems with collecting the water heater, it is advisable to photograph each step taken.
