The candles on the table create an intimate atmosphere, warm and intimate. The candles themselves can be of any color, texture and even smell. Cinnamon, orange and lavender are win-win aromas to create additional comfort, and the color can be classic white, or any other color to match the main serving palette. The choice of a candlestick is conducive to great fantasy experiments – it can be cinnamon or wooden sticks, stones, ceramics, glasses and bottles. Metal, for example, brass candlesticks indicate the importance of the celebration and are appropriate if all other details of the setting are kept in the same aristocratic style.

Pay attention to the texture of the table the guests will be sitting at. If you exclude the option of a tablecloth, then make the surface of the table matte or mirrored, sprinkle with sparkles such as glitter or fill in the empty space between the plates with Christmas balls. The main thing is not to overdo it with small decorative elements so that they do not hit the guests’ plate. If you decide to opt for a festive tablecloth, then it is better to choose an option longer than the everyday one, and give preference to textured fabrics – jacquard, velvet, satin.

The anticipation of a delicious dinner begins as soon as the guests sit down at the table. Bright and juicy colors awaken gastronomic fantasies, and the meal becomes a real delight.

The traditional New Year’s colors are reds and greens that you can play with for a monochrome look. Dishes of unconventional colors always look spectacular.

Another proven technique that never loses its relevance: a contrasting combination of two or three colors. For example, yellow and white, emerald and yellow, yellow and purple.

For many, the eastern horoscope becomes a source of inspiration. This time he advises us to turn to yellow – the color symbolizing the coming year of the Yellow Pig; this color embodies cheerfulness and celebration.

Taking warm yellow as a basis, you can build a very stylish monochrome table decor: from pale lemon to buckwheat honey.

New Year’s classics – gilded decor elements. Cones painted gold, nuts and pine branches will decorate any tree and table. Even an entire tree can be finished in gold shades and strewn with shimmery sparkles.

Abundant floristry on the table where guests dine is inappropriate. Laconic flower arrangements will be the best solution to complement the setting of the festive table. Top New Year’s flowers are headed by poinsettia, mistletoe and ilex (aka holly). Coniferous branches and any wooden elements also always liven up the table space and add coziness. An original solution would be to decorate the table with winter berries instead of the usual colors.
