One of the traditional ways to decorate fried or baked fish is with lemon. This citrus fruit goes well with fish dishes, so that it becomes not only a decorative, but also a practical element. You can invite guests to lightly sprinkle the fish with lemon juice before meals. This will only make her taste better. However, if lemon seems too common to you, replace it with lime. It will add even more bright colors to the dish. By the way, if you are using lime, you can also add mint sprigs. They go well together.

Don’t be overly sophisticated trying to figure out how to decorate your fish. Use any vegetables for this. Lettuce leaves, tomatoes, bell peppers are especially suitable. You can also add a side dish, such as potatoes or rice, to a dish with fried or baked fish. It will become part of the decor. Make sure that all the decorations on the plate are edible, this is one of the most important rules.

Decoration for fish slicing

Slicing fish is as much an integral part of the festive table as slicing meat, fruits or vegetables. Typically, fish cuts are served in large plates, but you can add variety by making small portions for each guest. Decorating this dish has its own rules:

• to make the slicing look beautiful, choose fish of different colors and shades for it;

• cutting method is very important. To cut the pieces as thin as possible, first freeze the fish slightly, and then begin to cut thin layers at an angle to the skin;

• olives and olives, lemon slices, greens of various types and lettuce will become actual decorations for the dish;

• some guests like to put pieces of fish on a sandwich, so a small rose made of butter will not be superfluous;

• in the center of the sliced ​​plate, you can put a small bowl with red or black caviar.

When making a cut, try not to overdo it with decor. Remember that minimalism will always be in place. Let it be delicious fish, and not lemon or olives, that will become the main one on the plate.
