How to decorate a flower pot: 3 ideas

In terms of the quality of the material, the terracotta pot is ideal for plants, but its appearance is worth working on. After all, you can not only make this simple vessel bright, but also find an individual style for it. The main thing is an interesting idea!

How to decorate a flower pot

Surely many of you have accumulated old issues of your favorite magazines. And it is a pity to throw them away, because sometimes you want to return to some subjects and photographs, and the storage space is getting smaller. So, we take out the magazines, pull out the pictures we like and remember the papier-mâché technique.

For work, you will need a paste. To prepare it, flour is diluted in cold water, put on fire and stirred all the time.

The pot is glued layer by layer with scraps of paper. It is important to thoroughly lubricate them with paste to form a single mass.

There should be at least three layers. Pay special attention to the top layer, because it is he who will determine the final look of your collage.

When decorating the second pot, it was decided to play in contrast and imitate the appearance of a living thing where life is, in principle, impossible. Copper, ocher, red – all this is associated with fire, volcanic eruption. This kind of pot will be a logical addition to the industrial design.

To decorate the pot you will need: copper or martian red acrylic paint, ocher spray paint and a coil of copper wire.

The pot is painted copper and allowed to dry. Spray paint from a can only on the top of the vessel – so that the colors sparkle in a new way.

The wire is divided into bundles of approximately equal thickness, passed through a hole in the bottom of the pot and fixed inside with pliers.

Other harnesses are attached to the finished vertical frame, creating a geometric pattern. It is better to twist the ends with a “rose” so as not to get scratched.

3. Pot in a knitted cover

Woolen products fill the house with warmth and comfort, and knitting needles and a ball of yarn are a real symbol of slowness and peace. However, the “jacket” for the pot can be knitted not only from woolen, but also from any other thread. The best option for those who are not a master in needlework, but know how to knit “in a straight line”.

To work you will need: yarn, acrylic paint, varnish, brushes, thread with a needle and a little PVA glue. The color of the yarn and dye should be chosen so that they match each other and harmonize with the colors of the interior.

The pot is painted in two layers to make the color more saturated. The second layer is applied after the first dries. Then the pot is varnished.

The finished knitted cover is wrapped around the pot, and the edges are sewn together. To prevent the “jacket” from dangling, you can fix it on top with a few drops of PVA glue.
