- – Cook the mixture for five minutes.
- – Keep this mixture in an insulated container overnight.
- – The next day, remove the leaves from the liquid and drink a few sips during the day. Do not swallow all the mixture at the same time!
Make this recipe three days in a row, making a new mixture every night. Stop the treatment for a week and then repeat it a week later. If you abuse it, it can become harmful. Don’t be surprised if you happen to urinate more often. This is just a sign that the salt in your body is dissolving.
Second recipe based on vegetable oils and essential oils
For this second recipe, we will use the healing properties of vegetable oils, combined with those of essential oils.
- – Start by making a mixture of 7 ml of sunflower oil and 3 ml of St. John’s Wort oil.
- – Add 8 drops of super lavender essential oil, 6 drops of lemon eucalyptus essential oil and 6 drops of peppermint essential oil.
- – If you wish, you can also add vitamin E in liquid form.
Once the mixture is obtained, spread it over the onions of the foot. It will effectively relieve the pain caused, and reduce the swelling.
Third recipe based on lemon juice and iodine
For this last recipe, I invite you to discover the benefits of lemon juice and iodine on bunions. You just have to prepare a mixture of the two ingredients, in equal parts, then pour it into a jar. Every night before going to bed, take a cotton ball that you will soak in this mixture, then cover the onion with the remedy, patting lightly.
Let the mixture sit overnight on the onion, then the next day, wash thoroughly. Then put on shoes that will provide appreciable comfort to your feet. Above all, do not wear shoes that are too tight, as this could sore your feet even more.

Natural products to remedy bunions of the foot
Although the medical consultation is sometimes recommended for the treatment of bunions of the foot, there are still natural treatments that you can adopt in order to relieve the pain and naturally reduce the size due to the bunion.
Red pepper
Among the natural products able to shrink onions, we can first mention red pepper. This vegetable contains a large amount of capsaicin, an element that helps reduce pain caused by hallux valgus.
Follow the steps below for the application of the remedy:
- – First cut the red pepper in half.
- – Remove the juice.
- – Perform a light massage with the juice, and voila!
Cover your foot with a bandage so that the remedy works properly. Repeat this twice a day.
Epsom salt
Epsom salt is a natural product that you can buy at a drugstore or grocery store. This product is inexpensive and is mainly used as a bath salt. It will help you significantly reduce the size of the bunion and lessen the pain.

- – Pour everything into a bucket.

For its use, here is how you should proceed:
- – Take half a cup of the oil,
- – Heat it in a saucepan over low heat.
- – Take a cloth that you have impregnated with oil.
- – Cover the onions with the cloth.
