How to copy only visible cells in Excel

By default, Excel copies both visible and hidden cells. However, only visible cells can be copied.

To copy only visible cells, follow a few simple steps:

  1. Highlight a range A1: A4.
  2. On the Advanced tab Home (Home) click Find & Select (Find and select) and click on Go To Special (Select a group of cells).How to copy only visible cells in Excel

  4. Excel will highlight the visible cells. Now hit combination Ctrl + Cto copy the range.
  5. Select cell A6 and press Ctrl + Vto insert a range.
