How to cook sausages in the microwave?
Although sausages are considered a finished product, they should be boiled before use. Some gourmets prefer to eat them cold. However, this is undesirable, since only during the heat treatment can microorganisms and bacteria that could form in sausages be killed due to violation of the rules of storage, transportation or damage to the package. If you are too lazy to cook sausages the traditional way, you can quickly and easily cook them in the microwave.
How to cook sausages in a microwave oven
To cook sausages in the microwave, you will need:
- frankfurters
- water
- pepper
- salt
- Bay leaf
- a glass bowl specially designed for the microwave
The cooking time for boiled sausages in the microwave is about 3 minutes.
Pour enough cold water into a glass bowl to completely submerge the sausages. If the casing of the sausages is natural, you can cook and consume the product with it. The cellophane casing must be cleaned before cooking: when it gets very hot, it shrinks and is difficult to remove after cooking.
Place the sausages in a container of water. Add salt, pepper and bay leaves to taste for flavor. Set the heating mode in the microwaves. If the modification allows, select the cooking mode for pasta or meat. Next, put a bowl of sausages in the microwave and turn it on for 2-5 minutes. The exact cooking time depends on the amount of sausages and the amount of water. Draining the boiling water, put the sausages on a plate. Then place the sausages on a plate, puncture them and send them to the microwave. After one and a half to two minutes, the dish is ready.
Alternatively, you can make a quick breakfast – a sausage sandwich. Cut it in half lengthwise, put both halves on a piece of white bread, on top of the sausage – a piece of cheese, boiled sausage, top with mayonnaise. Then place the sandwich on a plate and microwave for one minute at full power.
How to bake sausages in dough in the microwave
To prepare 8 pieces of sausages in dough, you will need:
- puff yeast dough – 500 g
- sausages – 8 pieces
- cheese – 100 g
- spices (basil, Provencal herbs or others) – to taste
- odorless vegetable oil
After defrosting the dough, roll it out to the desired thickness, then cut it into 8 equal pieces about 10×15 centimeters in size. Cut the cheese into 8 thin wedges. Put a sausage, a block of cheese on each piece of dough, sprinkle with spices to taste. Roll in a straw and then quickly deep-fry or in a skillet with a little oil on both sides until golden brown.
Place the baked sausages on a paper towel to remove excess oil. Place them on a platter and microwave in the microwave for 2-3 minutes at maximum power until cooked through.
