How to cook honey mushrooms before frying

Reading time – 3 minutes.

If you are going to enjoy fried mushrooms without boiling at all, choose young and strong specimens collected in ecologically proven places. It is enough to rinse the honey mushrooms well and immediately send them to the pan – the fragrant mushrooms will turn out to be the most delicious. In all other cases (especially if you bought mushrooms on the market), a method for boiling forest mushrooms before frying will come in handy.

Put on the stove, add salt and bring to a boil. Depending on the variety and size, cook mushrooms for 15-20 minutes over medium heat, regularly removing the resulting foam. Rinse under running water and let cool slightly. If the mushrooms are young and small, the cooking time can be reduced to 10 minutes. Optionally, for cooking, you can pour raw mushrooms with slightly acidified water so that they do not lose their light shade during heat treatment.

After warming up the frying pan, you can begin to fry the mushrooms, stirring them occasionally – preferably with a wooden spoon or spatula. After boiling, fry the mushrooms for 10-15 minutes until the excess liquid evaporates – sometimes it can take half an hour for the mushrooms to become elastic and slightly crispy.
