How to cook buckwheat in a slow cooker so that it is crumbly and tasty
 

Despite the fact that it takes a little longer to cook buckwheat porridge in a multicooker than on the stove, the process itself has many advantages.

Firstly, there is no need to stand over the porridge and make sure that it does not boil away or burn – buckwheat will cook delicious and crumbly in a slow cooker without your participation.  

Secondly, you can set the time when you want to get porridge. If your multicooker has a “Time delay” function for cooking, then you can put all the ingredients in the multicooker in the evening, and in the morning a delicious breakfast will be waiting for you. The same function will help you arrange so that a fresh and delicious dinner awaits you in the evening after coming home from work.

Cooking buckwheat porridge in a slow cooker is not difficult

Ingredients:

 
  • Buckwheat – 2 cups
  • Water – 4 glasses
  • Salt – one teaspoon
  • Butter – to taste

Preparation: 

After going through the buckwheat and rinsing it several times in cold water, put the cereal in the multicooker bowl, add water, salt and select the desired mode from the menu – it can be “Pilaf” or “Milk porridge” if you do not have a separate “Buckwheat” function. Click “Start”.

Buckwheat porridge can be served as a separate dish, and milk can be used instead of water. Milk buckwheat porridge is delicious with condensed milk and dried fruits. Buckwheat porridge is often used as a side dish for salty dishes. In this case, it can be seasoned with roasted onions or mushrooms. Such porridge will be perfectly complemented with meat, cutlets, chicken.
