How to colorize? Video tutorial
Hair coloring is a kind of coloring, or rather, coloring individual hair strands in different colors. With this procedure, you can achieve incredibly beautiful effects – highlights on the hair, volume of the hairstyle, the effect of burnout, and so on. However, in order to achieve these kinds of contrasts, some basic rules must be followed.
First of all, buy suitable shades of paint and a coloring kit in a special store, and then carefully study the instructions for use, but do not throw it away immediately, you may still need it to clarify some of the nuances. Now do a sensitivity test to avoid allergic reactions and other unpleasant consequences. To do this, apply a small amount of the coloring composition to an inconspicuous area of the skin and leave for 5-7 minutes.
If redness does not appear, then you can safely use this tool.
Wash your hair 1-2 days before the procedure. Before you start coloring at home, apply a cream or petroleum jelly to the edge of the entire head in front of the hair, this will help you prevent the appearance of accidental spots on unnecessary areas of the skin. Cover your shoulders with a sheet or diaper and wear gloves. After that, you can proceed to the procedure itself.
Mix all the required ingredients in the proportions indicated in the instructions. Then, having separated the strands of the desired size and width with the help of foil, start dyeing. Remember, the strands should be no more than 1 centimeter wide, best of all 0,5 centimeters. Cut the foil about 3 centimeters wide. And the hair that will not take part in the dyeing, secure with special hairpins.
After applying paint to the strands, immediately wrap them in foil in two layers. Leave the dye composition on your hair for 30-40 minutes, then rinse it off using a special balm.
Carry out coloring in the direction strictly from the back of the head to the forehead
There are two main types of coloring: full and partial. Full – this is when all hair is processed during dyeing. In addition, with this coloring, the natural shade of the hair is completely replaced. Partial is a coloring that involves coloring only part of the hair. With such coloring, the natural color is decisive. This means that other shades, harmonious or contrasting, are selected for it.
Also, coloring is longitudinal and transverse.
In the first case, various shades lie along the entire length of the hair. And with transverse coloring, the strands are divided into several zones, which are painted in different colors. This type of staining is more difficult, therefore it requires a lot of effort and more skill. In the next article, you will find a master class on ombre staining.
