How to clean jewelry from darkening
Jewelry made of non-precious metals is hidden under the concept of “bijouterie”. However, this does not affect their beauty at all, because the craftsmen working with gold and diamonds are unlikely to let their imagination run wild, while when making jewelry from various alloys and semi-precious stones, exclusive masterpieces come out from under talented hands.
Like precious metals and alloys, they need to be cleaned. But before you start it, you need to figure out what your jewelry is made of:
· Copper items can be shine back with salt and vinegar. Mix a teaspoon of salt and 5 drops of vinegar, clean the decoration with this mixture and rinse with clean water;
· Metal jewelry without dusting can be cleaned with a toothpaste and a brush;
· Rings and earrings made of medical alloy (or medical metal) can be renewed with ammonia;
· It is not recommended to rub jewelry made of plastic. If there are scratches and paint peeled off, the product cannot be restored. For a couple of appearances, such a thing can be reanimated with the help of nail polishes, but this coating will not last long.
If you do not know what the jewelry is made of, carefully consider whether it is coated with gold or silver. You can understand this by small defects, because over time, any spraying is erased. Such things should not be rubbed or washed with aggressive detergents. It is best to use a light soapy water solution and a soft cloth here.
