– the simplest, but still effective way – clean, preferably boiled, water and newspapers. First, the surface is washed with a sponge or rag, and then wiped dry with crumpled newspapers. You can clean an old mirror by adding a little vinegar or ammonia to the water to make it shine.

For finishing, the cloth should be soft, lint-free and absorb moisture well. Newspapers must be thoroughly crumpled to increase their absorbency.
