Sheep skins are used not only for the production of outerwear and footwear, but also for interior decoration. How to clean a sheep skin
The simplest way to remove debris and dust from the hide is to shake it, which is best done every day, taking the product out into the street. Vacuum the skin twice a week to remove dust and dirt deposits. For better cleaning of the product, it is imperative to clean not only the pile, but also the base of the skin and the floor under it.
Sheep skins should be hand or machine washed monthly using regular hair shampoo or a special wool detergent.
For hand washing, soak the garment for 30 minutes in water at a temperature of 30 ° C. Turn the skin over from time to time and then rinse in warm water.
Machine wash at a water temperature of 30 ° C and a special wash cycle suitable for cleaning wool. It is better to use a laundry bag to prevent deformation of the product. After washing, the garment should be dried naturally by laying it out on a horizontal surface and blotting it with a towel.
During drying, shake the skin and stretch it a little to prevent the deformation process and give the product its original appearance. After drying, you need to comb the fur of the product.
Sometimes a simple wash is not enough, as the surface of the lambskin has more serious problems than just the accumulation of dirt and dust. But they can be easily dealt with in the following ways:
- existing stains are removed with ammonia dissolved in water. In the solution, you need to moisten a sponge and wipe the surface of the skin with it;
- walnut is used to restore brightness to colored pile. Its kernels must be crushed, placed in cheesecloth and wiped off the pile;
- to eliminate yellowness, 3% hydrogen peroxide is used. 2 tablespoons of the product should be diluted in 1 liter of water and the surface of the skin should be treated, trying to avoid getting the solution into the bottom layer;
- to restore the elasticity of the leather area, it is necessary to treat it with water, adding glycerin to it.
Now you know how to peel the skin and what methods to use for this. By following these simple rules, you can easily keep a lambskin rug attractive for a long time.
