How to choose the right tubing for a child: size, years
Tubing is fun winter fun for the whole family. Let’s figure out how to choose a tubing for a child so that it is convenient for the baby to use it, and you are not afraid for its safety.
How to choose a size for a child 5, 10, 15 years old
The diameter of the inflated tubing is 80-150 cm. It must be matched to the person’s height. This criterion is very important, since in too small tubing the child will injure his legs, and in too large he will simply drown.
For children under the age of ten, it is worth taking a tubing of 80-90 cm in size. For older children and adolescents, take a universal diameter of 100 cm.For those who are taller than 175 cm, a larger diameter is needed – from 115-120 cm.
Small children should not ride on their own. In this case, you need to take a cheesecake 120-125 cm so that the baby can ride in it with an adult.
How to choose the right tubing
Here are the main nuances:
- Reliability. Before buying, carefully inspect the bottom, handles, seams, camera. All this must be of high quality. Handles should be made of rope or plastic, frost-resistant. The bottom is made of polyvinyl chloride, which looks like a shiny film. The seams should be even and thick, reinforced with nylon. The camera is needed from a highly elastic material, for example, from multilayer glossy PVC.
- Safety. The cheesecake should not contain sharp metal or wooden parts, it should be soft and comfortable. When sitting, the child should not touch the ground with his feet, and the booty should not touch the bottom of the cheesecake. Remember that the tubing is uncontrollable during the ride, so it can only be used on proven trails without trees with a maximum slope of 20%. This type of recreational vehicle has a speed of up to 100 km / h, so a collision with a tree can end badly.
- Convenience. This is an important criterion, because if the baby is uncomfortable, he will not enjoy the ride. As for the comfort of using the tubing, it is better to buy with it a pump, a ring for transporting the cheesecake on a lift, glue for repairing it, and protective goggles for riding.
The weak points of the cheesecakes are the handles and the bottom. The handles can come off on slides with trampolines, and the bottom can be wiped off from poor coverage or from driving onto asphalt. To avoid this, buy tubing from reliable manufacturers.
Remember that tubing is only allowed on proven tracks. Do not leave small children to ride unattended, even if you are sure of the safety of the selected tubing.
