How to choose lipstick in winter
If summer is a time of bright, shining, translucent textures and shades, then in winter we tend to more saturated, deep, wine and berry shades of lipstick.
In winter, when lips are more exposed to wind and cold, opt for a long lasting texture with a nurturing formula. Long-wearing lipsticks provide perfect coverage and will not dry out your lips. Lipstick is applied once or twice, it lasts for several hours and does not require renewal. It owes its special properties to water-repellent ingredients and wax in its composition. The only thing persistent lipstick is afraid of is contact with fatty foods.
When choosing a texture, opt for a dense, matte finish. They do not spread and look expensive and noble on the lips. A good way to choose the right lipstick color is to unscrew it completely from the packaging and apply it to your lips. In the cold season, matte red lipsticks are more relevant than ever. When choosing a shade, there are no clear rules, but there are some recommendations. Always consider the natural color of your teeth. The colder the color of the lipstick, the yellower the teeth will look, with warmer shades this problem is less noticeable. Also a good guide is the natural eye color. For blue, green, gray, pink, cherry, raspberry or coral lipstick is ideal, and for brown and brown-green – orange, peach, apricot or beige. If you don’t like long-lasting cosmetics, then pay attention to the nourishing lipstick, which contains powder and vitamin E.
