Such gloves are made from sheep, goat, pig and deerskin. The most common are the first two options. They are thin, elastic and comfortable. At the same time, pigskin gloves are softer, thicker and warmer.
Deer leather includes all these qualities, but it costs many times more than other options.
Tip: to distinguish genuine leather from leatherette, you just need to hold the product in your hands – the leather will heat up, and the artificial materials will remain cold.
These gloves are perfect for a raincoat or coat. However, in cold weather, wearing leather gloves, the hand will freeze, therefore it is better to give preference to knitted gloves. They can be composed of wool or acrylic.
Remember: wool tends to shrink, and acrylic tends to stretch, therefore, in order to maintain the size, you need to choose a composition of wool + acrylic.
Medical research has shown that suede gloves are the best option for the winter. They are durable and warm, and their fabric protects against bacteria and fungi. Also, leather goods are quite suitable.
Fleece is warm, soft and comfortable, but moisture builds up quickly. Woollens are the worst choice, as they absorb moisture and then do not keep warm.
Stitches
The many seams indicate that the cut was made without taking into account the direction of the elasticity of the skin, which means that it will quickly lose its shape. Check all seams carefully for missing stitches.
The type of seam (internal, step or outside – manual external seam – dent) does not affect the strength of the connection. The abundance of internal seams will create unnecessary discomfort and even irritation.
Lining
Lining is often used in both woolen and leather products when it comes to winter gloves. It is made from artificial or natural fur, wool or fabric. It is very important that this insulation is evenly distributed along the length and width, does not form folds anywhere and does not squeeze the hand.
Right size
A glove of the appropriate size fits on the hand without much effort, it fits snugly around the hand and does not restrict movement. Measure the circumference of your palm above the knuckle without grabbing your thumb.
