Real tea drinking should be a kind of meditation, during which it is customary to reflect on the future or remember wonderful moments from the past. Everything in this process should be perfect: both the tea utensils and the tea itself. The choice of a teapot in this process plays an important role – it should please the eye and soul, but should not affect the water in any way.
When choosing a kettle, consider the following points:
- If you want to drink real tea and feel its real taste and aroma, then the option of an electric kettle with a plastic case is excluded – the water from it has a specific smell.
- The volume of the kettle should be enough to boil water for one standard tea party. Think about whether you had enough water in your previous kettle, and based on this, take a kettle larger, smaller, or the same.
- It is very important to assess the location of the teapot spout: if it is located below the lid, keep in mind that this teapot cannot be filled full.
- Before each tea drinking, the kettle must be washed, and for the next tea drinking, you cannot use water from the last time.
- Do not buy an aluminum kettle – dishes made of this material tend to oxidize. An enamel teapot is an excellent option, but only until a chip appears on it at the points of contact with water – then it begins to rust, which negatively affects the quality of the water. The most practical, safe and durable will be a stainless steel kettle.
- Convenience and fastening of the handle are of great importance when choosing a kettle – be sure to pay special attention to this. If we talk about the material, then for the handle the option made of heat-resistant plastic will be the best.
- A whistle on a kettle is a handy thing, but choose a kettle where this whistle can be removed if necessary. Often one of the family members gets up earlier, the whistle of the kettle can wake everyone up.
